At the end of the day, Dillon McColgan finds his greatest satisfaction in working hand-in-hand with his clients to successfully resolve their litigation needs. Admittedly “not afraid to argue his point”, he prefers to address matters as quickly as possible and in a way that will prove the best possible results for his clients, often involving resolution prior to trial. Working in the firm’s Orlando office, primarily in the areas of commercial, fiduciary and employment litigation, Dillon McColgan brings solid experience from years of practice at one of Southwest Florida’s largest law firms.
Goal-oriented and focused, Dillon set his sights on law school while still in high school. He first attended the University of Central Florida and earned his B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in International and Global Studies. Interested in attending the University of Miami School of Law, Dillon worked to earn a prestigious merit scholarship that covered 50% of his tuition, graduating cum laude with his J.D. During law school he earned a coveted spot as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Ivan Fernandez of the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, giving him an insider’s perspective to the judicial process.
A member of The Florida Bar, Dillon is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. His community service work includes volunteering with the United Way and working on behalf of food banks and other organizations that provide for those with food insecurity.
If Dillon were not an attorney, he would be an automotive engineer. He has a passion for Formula One racing, IMSA racing, and other motorsports.
He and his wife enjoy travel, the beach, Disney, and cheering for their favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
