Beth K. Roland

Senior Counsel

Beth K. Roland, Board Certified in Elder Law by The Florida Bar, offers a deep well of knowledge and experience in elder law and special needs trusts, estate planning, guardianship advocacy and administration, Medicaid planning, probate and trust administration, long-term care planning, and veterans’ benefits. With over a decade of focused practice, she is known for combining legal precision with genuine compassion, advocating tirelessly for Florida’s aging and vulnerable populations.

Her experience includes representing clients in complex guardianship and probate matters, Medicaid fair hearings and appeals, and the development of strategic estate and long-term care plans. She has also led teams of attorneys across multiple practice areas and is a trusted speaker, educator, and advocate in the elder law community.

Beth has been widely recognized for her outstanding pro bono service, including her work as appellate counsel for the statewide Guardian ad Litem Office’s Defending Best Interests Project. Her commitment to public service has earned her multiple statewide honors, including The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award (2021), as well as formal recognition from the Florida Governor and Attorney General.

She continues to give back through volunteer work with Seniors First, Inc., the Orange County Bar Association’s Wills for Heroes program, and the Advisory Committee of the Florida Guardian Support Network.

Beth is a Veterans’ Affairs accredited attorney and an active member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, Elder Law (including the Elder Law Certification Committee), and Appellate Practice sections of The Florida Bar. She is a frequent lecturer for community and professional audiences, with a history of speaking on topics such as guardianship, constitutional updates, and special needs planning.

Beth earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her B. A. from Sweet Briar College in Amherst, Virginia.

Background

Beth is originally from Pennsylvania but has called Florida home since 2003.  She is the proud mother of two young adults and the self-appointed “manager” of her very dear and independent father. In her free time, she enjoys training and competing with her dogs in conformation shows and agility trials.
