Real Estate Legal Assistant

Full-service business, AV-Rated law firm, has immediate need in our Orlando office for a Legal Assistant in our Real Estate section. The successful candidate will be a team player, assisting attorneys and paralegals with a wide range of real estate transactions. Duties will include, but not be limited to: Extensive calendaring; tracking and processing attorney time records and billing; post-closing responsibilities and ordering and processing title insurance commitments and policies. This position requires a proficiency in data management software, the ability to maintain a professional demeanor with frequent interaction with clients, excellent written and verbal skills, and a strong multitasking ability to support 4 attorneys. Three years legal assistant experience required; prior real estate experience preferred.

Compensation will be based on experience. This is a full time, benefited position. Job Type: Full-time. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services in the real estate department, under the supervision of an attorney. This individual will communicate frequently with the clients to serve them adequately. Additionally, this candidate will conduct necessary case research to aid the legal proceedings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in legal assistance

  • Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols

Candidate MUST have an understanding of title experience industry
