Accounting Clerk

ShuffieldLowman, a full-service AV-Rated law firm, has immediate need in our Orlando office for an Accounting Clerk. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, opening new matters, running conflict checks, closing matters, entering expense vouchers, posting expenses to various ledgers. Candidate must be willing to cross train for backup to Billing and Accounts Payable positions.

Position requires a minimum of 2 years of general accounting/data entry experience. Must have strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, be very organized and a team player.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Opening/Closing Client Matters in software

  • Running Conflict Checks in software

  • Posting expense vouchers / Expenses to various ledgers

  • Filing / Scanning / Collating

  • Month closing tasks

  • Assists Firm Administrator on administrative tasks as necessary

Position requires a minimum of 2 years general accounting experience, or a Associates degree in Accounting from an accredited university. Must have strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills, be very organized and a team player. Compensation is based upon experience, with full benefit package available. Probate Legal Assistant

Shuffield, Lowman & Wilson, a full-service AV-Rated law firm has an immediate need in our Orlando office for a Probate legal assistant. The successful candidate will have 5 years of probate experience, advanced level experience with MS Office (specifically in formatting), strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Must have excellent attention to detail, be a team player and have a strong ability to multi-task. The position requires a pro-active individual, willing to anticipate the needs of several attorneys and knows how to prioritize. Job duties will include, but not be limited to, calendaring appointments, fielding phone calls, drafting correspondence and documents, entering attorney’s weekly time records into record-keeping software, linking documents and emails to a universal case management system.
