Janet Bill brings extensive experience in the areas of transactional law, securities, intellectual property, corporate, and employment law.  In her career, she has negotiated international, multi-million-dollar utilities contracts for Westinghouse Company and worked extensively in negotiating complex transactional, sales, property, transportation and resort and hospitality agreements.  She is experienced in providing legal guidance and support involving intellectual property and human resource issues, including preparation for pre-trial and litigious proceedings.

Janet has a diverse background, with experience in the entertainment, art, production and publishing industries.  She is also a writing instructor and author, with numerous fiction and non-fiction works published, including research and writing of biographical television scripts.  She is a recipient of an American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers Award, was named a Royal Palm Literary Finalist, and she is a speaker and former conference director of the Florida Writer’s Association.  Her legal writing includes published legal case studies, analysis and opinions on legal topics and continuing education booklets utilized by attorneys and judges.

She is admitted to practice law, and appear before the Supreme Courts, in both Florida and Tennessee and she holds a Securities 65 certification issued by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).  She is an active member of The Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Tax Law section.

Janet holds a B.F.A. in fine arts from the University of Memphis, and she earned her J.D. from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where she held a federal clerkship and served as a civil court law clerk. 

 

Background

Janet, her husband and two children enjoy time together sailing, scuba diving, riding, and playing tennis at the Winter Park Racquet Club.
