Attorney Briana M. Whalin Joins ShuffieldLowman

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – ShuffieldLowman recently announced that attorney Briana M. Whalin has joined the firm, working in the Orlando office’s guardianship and elder law section.  Whalin’s practice includes assisting clients with Medicaid planning, long term planning and asset protection.

Whalin graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a B.A. in history and political science, then earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she participated in a five-month clinic focused on elder law studies.  In law school she served as the director of the Wake Forest School of Law Wills Project, where she worked to revitalize the program and exponentially increase its reach.  She also volunteered with the Wake Forest School of Law Health Care Advocacy program, helping those in need by obtaining medical benefits and drafting legal documents such as living wills.  Her volunteerism in these areas led to her being awarded the Smith Anderson Pro Bono Award and her induction into the Wake Forest Pro Bono Honor Society.
