The successful candidate will have 8-15 years strong experience in fiduciary litigation or commercial litigation. Must have 1st Chair trial experience. A book of business is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have 5 years of strong corporate and/or M&A experience, comfortable leading projects and transactions, and strong management skills. Guardianship Associate

A full-service AV-Rated law firm has immediate need in our Orlando office for a Guardianship Associate to focus primarily on complex guardianship planning work for high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will have 5-10 years of strong guardianship, special needs estate planning experience, Medicaid planning experience, strong communication skills and a professional demeanor. Must have excellent attention to detail, be comfortable interacting with clients, be a team player and have strong ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a caseload from start to finish.

  • Intake and Consultations.

  • Drafting, e-filing, and serving pleadings.

  • Managing clients’ expectations and returning all calls within 24 hours during the week.

  • Court appearances in the Orlando area and throughout Florida, if necessary.

  • Networking and building relationships to grow the business.

Requirements:

  • Florida bar license.

  • Minimum 5-10 years of Guardianship, Medicaid Planning and/or Estate Planning experience. With focus on special needs planning.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow-through.

  • Exceptional communication skills.

  • Adapt well to change and maintain a positive attitude under stress.

  • Ability to multitask and stay focused on the most important and urgent issues.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Adherence to our core values.

  • Litigation experience preferred.
