Litigation Legal Assistant

Job description

Shuffield, Lowman & Wilson, a full-service AV-Rated law firm has immediate need in our Orlando office for a litigation legal assistant with 2-3 years’ experience. This is required. No candidates will be screened that do not meet this specific criteria. The successful candidate will have experience with MS Office (specifically in formatting), strong communication skills and a professional demeanor. Must have excellent attention to detail, be a team player and have strong ability to multi-task and work with 2 or more attorneys and paralegals. Position requires a pro-active individual, willing to anticipate the needs of attorneys and know how to prioritize and work independently. The successful candidate will be compassionate have excellent listening skills, be comfortable dealing with clients and high stress situations. Job duties will include, but not be limited to, calendaring appointments, fielding phone calls, drafting correspondence and documents, entering attorney’s weekly time records into record keeping software, linking documents and emails to universal case management system.
