Estate Planning Legal Assistant
Job description
Shuffield, Lowman & Wilson, a full-service AV-Rated law firm has an immediate need in our Lake Nona office for an Estate Planning legal assistant. The successful candidate will have 2 years of estate planning experience, advanced level experience with MS Office (specifically in formatting), strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Must have excellent attention to detail, be a team player and have a strong ability to multi-task. The position requires a pro-active individual, willing to anticipate the needs of several attorneys and knows how to prioritize. Job duties will include, but not be limited to, calendaring appointments, fielding phone calls, drafting correspondence and documents, entering attorney’s weekly time records into record-keeping software, linking documents and emails to a universal case management system.

Executive Assistant
POSITION OVERVIEW
Enhances attorney effectiveness by addressing administrative duties.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate communications, including taking calls, responding to emails, and interfacing with clients
Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel itineraries
Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents
Maintain current case list
Assist in training and mentoring within the team
Attend signings with clients when necessary
Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
Develop and sustain a level of professionalism
Assist with entering attorney time and monthly billing
Other duties as assigned by attorneys

Litigation Legal Assistant
Job description
Shuffield, Lowman & Wilson, a full-service AV-Rated law firm has immediate need in our Orlando office for a litigation legal assistant with 2-3 years’ experience. This is required. No candidates will be screened that do not meet this specific criteria. The successful candidate will have experience with MS Office (specifically in formatting), strong communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Must have excellent attention to detail, be a team player, and have strong ability to multi-task and work with 2 or more attorneys and paralegals. The position requires a pro-active individual, willing to anticipate the needs of attorneys and know how to prioritize and work independently. The successful candidate will be compassionate, have excellent listening skills, be comfortable dealing with clients and high-stress situations. Job duties will include, but not be limited to, calendaring appointments, fielding phone calls, drafting correspondence and documents, entering attorney’s weekly time records into record-keeping software, and linking documents and emails to the universal case management system.
