Law Clerk Opportunities
Summer Law Clerk
The ShuffieldLowman Summer Law Clerk program is a comprehensive learning experience. It incorporates legal research, writing, attendance at hearings, depositions, and mediations. Supervising attorneys coordinate and evaluate work assignments and ensure that the clerk becomes involved integrally in client matters.
Our clerks rotate through all three major practice areas of the firm during our nine-week program, giving them a solid feel for all of our practice areas and what is expected of a SLW attorney. They will touch on Litigation, Real Estate, Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate and Guardianship during their clerkship.
It’s not all work though! Social and recreational events, including lunches, dinners, cocktail hours and a “clerk day” complete the summer. These activities allow our clerks to meet the firm’s members on a more personal level in a relaxed and informal atmosphere and provide an opportunity to simply have some fun.
The firm’s goal is to expose our clerks to virtually every aspect of a career as a SLW attorney, in an interesting, challenging, and rewarding manner.
If this sounds like the experience you are looking for, and you are a 2L student in the top 20% of your class, please submit your resume, a current transcript and writing sample to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line Summer Law Clerk.
