ShuffieldLowman Announces Land Use Attorney Mary Doty Solik Joins the Firm

Orlando, FL -- ShuffieldLowman recently announced that veteran land use attorney Mary Doty Solik has joined the firm.  Solik, of-counsel,  brings more than 23 years of experience to the firm's real estate section, providing senior-level client representation in the areas of land use, zoning and real estate development. Solik is a member of the Florida, Georgia and Iowa Bar Associations and the Orange County Bar Association.  She holds an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been selected for inclusion in the Best Lawyers in America multiple years, and listed among Orlando's best lawyers by Orlando Magazine.  She is a graduate of the University of Iowa, for both her B.A. and J.D., where she served as managing editor of the Iowa Law Review. Her main areas of practice include land use, land use litigation, eminent domain and general commercial litigation. She has broad experience in representing land owners and developers in obtaining land use and zoning approvals, including the representation of clients in the siting and approval of cellular communication towers.  In addition, she represents both land owners and condemning authorities in eminent domain proceedings, including quiet title actions, annexation disputes, appellate litigation of the denial of land use approvals, and ad valorem property tax assessment challenges.
