ShuffieldLowman Announces New Partners: Catherine P. Hanna and Jeremy R. Sokol
Orlando, Fla. – ShuffieldLowman is pleased to announce that Catherine P. Hanna and Jeremy R. Sokol have been named partners of the firm, effective January 1, 2026.
“Both Catherine and Jeremy have made significant impacts within their respective practice areas and the firm overall,” said William R. Hanna joined ShuffieldLowman in September 2016 as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. Her practice now focuses almost exclusively on fiduciary litigation, including probate and trust disputes, guardianship litigation, and elder law matters. She also brings experience in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including securities and financial services defense and class action representation.
Hanna is admitted to the Florida Bar, the North Carolina State Bar, and the Louisiana State Bar (inactive). Hanna earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William & Mary.
Sokol joined the firm in April 2022 as an associate in the Real Estate Department. He advises clients across all areas of real estate law, with particular emphasis on closing purchase and sale transactions and commercial leasing. He has represented clients in all aspects of real estate transactions including the preparation and drafting of purchase and sale agreements, survey and title review, curative title work, and the preparation of closing, title, and various other documents integral to closing real estate transactions. He also regularly assists clients with commercial lease work and provides legal guidance to landlords and tenants across a wide range of property types and commercial uses to prepare and negotiate lease agreements specifically tailored to their leasing needs.
Sokol earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University at Albany.
